These early reprints were produced using traditional inks and papers, and were so finely printed that many collectors mistakenly assumed Takamizawa prints were originals. Early Takamizawa prints are prized by collectors and are an excellent opportunity to purchase a famous Japanese woodblock print at a reasonable price. Bid or buy now, these rare prints will not last!

Fuji from Ushibori in Hitachi Province - A large boat juts into marshy waters, disturbing an otherwise quiet scene. With meticulous detail, Hokusai creates an involved view of the boat, a fisherman pouring water into the marsh. A softly-colored print with very nice detail and a nice composition.

Artist - Hokusai (1760 - 1849)

Image Size - 9 7/8" x 14 5/8"

Condition - With exquisite color and excellent detail. Please see photos for individual details. Very nice overall.
