A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Nobleman and Bound Captive - Fascinating kabuki scene of a nobleman in court dress reading a scroll to a wild-haired captive who is bound with rope around the shoulders. The prisoner frowns, his eyes open wide as the nobleman regards him soberly, a nun fingering her prayer beads as she looks beseechingly at the nobleman. At left, a second scene shows a beauty menaced by a commoner, who holds a hairpin in his hand. Nice expressive figures and an attractive composition.

Image Size - 14" x 28 1/4"+ margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight separation along vertical folds at sides, a few small wormholes, small loss at edge. Slight soiling, slight rubbing at edges, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
