A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction
View of Kasumigaseki, circa 1839 - 1842 - Great view of a daimyo's procession making its way down the steep slope at Kasumigaseki. The lord rides in a palanquin in the center as they pass by the daimyo's mansions lining the street. At lower left, townspeople kneel respectfully. A handsome design we've only seen a few times. Also in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
