Beauty Collecting Shellfish

Comments - Attractive image of a beauty collecting shellfish at low tide, looking down with a smile as she carries a full basket of clams. The front of her patchwork kimono is tucked up at the front to keep it from getting wet, and a blue and white cloth is wrapped protectively around her hairstyle. A border of clouds separates the figure from a view of the shore with many people hunting for shellfish. A charming Edo era beauty portrait from a rarely seen artist.

Artist - Sadafusa (active 1825 - 1850)

Image Size - 13 1/4" x 9"
