Comments - Great kabuki triptych depicting seven geisha in front of a stack of straw-wrapped barrels of sake with cherry blossoms, flowing water, and writing on them. The casks may be decorative barrels known as "kazaridaru," which are displayed at Shinto shrines as offerings from sake makers, but we are not sure. Dressed in matching dark purple kimono tied with green and yellow floral obi, the beauties smile happily and chat with each other. A circular inset at upper right shows a Chinese beauty with red flowers and a ribbon adorning her hair. A charming and interesting subject, attractively colored and detailed.
