A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Scnee from Kazashi no hana kasho no uzumaki, 1848 - Attractive group portrait from the kabuki play "Kazashi no hana kasho no uzumaki." Ichimura Uzaemon XII portrays the beauty dancing with a fan in the center, while Bando Shuka I is shown in armor at upper right, striking an unusual pose with his hat balanced on his foot. The beauty smiles coyly over her shoulder at a young samurai whose pale blue kimono features colorful bouquets wrapped in folded paper. The woman standing behind him stretches out a red and white tied-dyed cloth between her hands, the center of the fabric caught between her teeth. Wonderfully expressive figures and an attractive color palette.
