Comments - Attractive depiction of three high-ranking courtesans strolling through the Yoshiwara on a spring night. The beauty at left smiles over her shoulder at her companions, wearing a kimono with a design of roosters, tied with a green obi patterned with a battle fan and clouds. The woman at right has a gray outer robe featuring a lion dancer's headdress of a peony atop folding fans and a flowing wig, with a stone bridge below, a reference to the play "Shakkyo." Behind them, a bamboo fence encloses a garden with flowering shrubs and blossoming cherry trees. A classic Edo era beauty subject.
