The Sixth Month (Mitsuki), 1849

Comments - Attractive night scene of a beauty on a verandah with an attendant kneeling behind her. She wears a lovely red kimono patterned with vines and circular motifs ringed with yellow flames. She holds a tortoiseshell fan, smiling happily as she looks ahead. A flame burns in a lantern on a stand at left, with delicate blossoms and leaves against the gray night sky beyond. A lovely design, nicely detailed.
