Chronology of the Flower of Actors - Handsome portrait from a Kunichika series depicting popular kabuki actors. Each print features a lively figure in character in a rectangular inset with a text inset above featuring delicate embossed lines and softly shaded striped borders. A colorful solid background creates a nice contrast with the insets. These beautifully printed and detailed images include fine line work in the hair and elegant costumes. A nice early actor series by Kunichika that is rarely seen.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Some prints have small losses or thinning at edges, repaired. Light toning, a few creases, staining at edge. Please see photos for details.
