The Great Battle of Okehazama, 1864 - Interesting illustration of the Battle of Okehazama in 1560 between the forces of Oda Nobunaga and Imagawa Yoshimoto. Despite being seriously outnumbered, Nobunaga's surprise attack on Yoshimoto's encampment proved victorious. Here, two samurai along the water's edge watching the fighting on the opposite shore. The fellow at left lifts his hat for a better view, a sword in his other hand. A broken sword and arrows litter the ground. An early warrior subject by Yoshitoshi.
