Evening Bell at Kotokuji, 1868 - Fantastic scene of a warrior with a spear at Kotokuji Temple as evening falls. He marches down the stone steps, biting his lower lip and grimacing angrily, his hair streaming out behind him. At lower right, a terrified monk has fallen to the ground, hiding his head beneath his hands. Tall pines frame the view. A striking design with an expressive figure and fine detail in the armor.
