Comments - Attractive portrait of Iwai Kumesaburo III as Sanzaemon's daughter Hinaginu in the play "Ehon Taikoki." She smiles happily as she looks up at the birds flying through the night sky, waving her sleeve at her side. She wears a red kimono with a pattern of yellow linking rings and blossoms over a red under robe, tied with a green brocade obi. Her hair is pulled back into a sleek bun adorned with a cluster of tiny blue flowers and many ribbons. A handsome design with fine shading in the background and embossing on the white kimono collar and trim.
