Comments - Lovely circa 1930s shin-hanga image of herons during a rainstorm. Two birds stand in shallow water as a third approaches to land, a driving rain slanting across the sky. Blossoming irises grow along the water's edge, their petals delicately shaded. A beautiful design, detailed with embossing on the bird's feathers.

Artist - Hiroshige IV (active circa 1920s - 1930s)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 4 7/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants and thinning on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Small hole. Crease at edge. Please see photos for details.
