A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

The Second National Industrial Exposition, 1881 - Terrific panoramic view of the Second National Industrial Exposition held in Ueno Park in 1881. The entrance gate at center right is topped with a clock tower, leading into a plaza lined with buildings. The enormous Shojo Fountain fills the courtyard at top right, with the elegant modern brick Fine Arts Building just beyond. Visitors wander about the grounds among blossoming cherry trees and exhibit buildings. An interesting historic subject. The first time we've seen this Chikanobu triptych.
