Report of the Nation's Victory, 1877 - Handsome triptych showing a gathering of the ladies-in-waiting at the Meiji Imperial Palace. They are seated around a table covered with a floral cloth, preparing linen and bandages for the Imperial Army during the Satsuma Rebellion. The women smile and talk excitedly as the empress arrives at right, bringing news of a rumored Meiji victory over the rebellious samurai. Wonderful detail in the elegant household furnishings and fine embossing in the white kimono. An attractive design.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three attached panels. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. A few holes, repaired. Slight toning and creasing, slight soiling. Please note, due to the size, this print may be shipped rolled. Please see photos for details.
