Guests Arguing - Interesting comic print featuring two uncut chuban designs. In the top print, a samurai and a man pouring a cup of sake are arguing, the warrior leaning forward aggressively with his hand on the other fellow's shoulder. An alarmed beauty stands in the doorway behind them. Below, the woman has intervened and the samurai grins up at her, but the other man gestures angrily at the floor. The extended legs and arm of another visitor can be seen behind the shoji panels. Nicely detailed with delicate cloth embossing on shoji panels, the samurai's white robe and pants, and the beauty's white collar and sash.

Artist - Meiji era artist (unsigned)
