Woman Warrior Drawing a Sword

Comments - Dramatic kabuki scene of a woman warrior drawing a sword as she threatens the man sitting beside her. She grimaces angrily as she pushes back her hair with one hand, a baby cradled to her chest. She wears a black outer kimono with a giant snake and pine branches over a red print under robe and armor trimmed with fur cuffs. The man eyes her suspiciously as he tilts his head, resting one hand atop the hilt of his sword. A band across the top features text and a pinwheel and wheeled pull-toy. An intriguing subject. Includes metallic pigment that has oxidized to a dark tone on the blade of the sword.
