Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Bloody Attack

Comments - Gory kabuki scene of a samurai attacking a man with his sword. His victim tumbles backwards to the ground before him, flinging one bloody hand up in a stopping motion, but his attacker raises the blade above his head to strike him again. The victim is bleeding heavily from his shoulders and chest and down his arms, his face and lips taking on a bluish cast showing that death is imminent. A dramatic design.
