Beauty Waving Her Sleeves, 1852

Comments - Interesting kabuki portrait of a beauty waving the long sleeves of her kimono and under robe, tilting her head with a worried expression, her mouth slightly agape. Her blue and green outer kimono features a tie-dyed pattern with diamond motifs of mandarin oranges, while her red tie-dyed under robe is also scattered with mandarin oranges. A white sash is tied around her head. The blue wall behind her has a design of cherry blossoms and floral medallions. An attractive image, beautifully detailed.

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 9 5/8"
