Lord Minamoto Yoritomo Goes to Kyoto in 1195, 1863

Comments - Handsome panoramic view of the Shogun Yoritomo on his way to Kyoto to pay his annual visit to the emperor. The long procession travels along a road at the edge of the water, the shogun riding a horse in the center with a servant sheltering him with a red umbrella. Groups of samurai lead the way and surround the shogun, with two other noblemen following on horseback at right. Tall standards and a fluttering banner wave above the men. The mountainous countryside stretches into the distance, with rooftops lining the shore at left and Mt. Fuji dominating the horizon. A wonderful image of this historic event, nicely detailed.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 29 1/4" + margins as shown
