Tokyo Street Scene

Comments - Handsome depiction of a bustling street in Tokyo lined with shops. The green curtains of the large store at right feature images of the smiling Ebisu, one of Japan's beloved Seven Lucky Gods. At lower right, two women pause outside an entrance, with clerks selling bolts of cloth visible inside. At left, a wagon drawn by a team of horses carries passengers while in the center, a rickshaw approaches from the opposite direction. Wonderful detail in this lively Meiji era scene.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Small tear and thinning at corners, repaired. Creasing and wrinkling, slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details.
