The Image of a Japanese Beauty Kakemono, 1843 - 1845

Comments - Attractive kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty smiling as she looks over her shoulder, holding a flat fan decorated with blossoming branches. Her green kimono features a butterfly pattern, worn over a red under robe and tied with a brocade obi. Her hair is adorned with a lacquer comb and a hairpin with a morning glory on it. Confetti-like dots are scattered across the background of the print. A charming Edo era beauty design.

Image Size - 9 1/2" x 28 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. Toning, slight creasing, slight paper remnant at edge. Please see photos for details.
