Wife of Tokugawa Ietsugu, No. 7 - Beautiful woodblock showing the wife of the seventh shogun, Tokugawa Ietsugu, on a verandah in spring. She catches a few of the flower petals drifting down from the cherry tree overhead, covered with a cloud of pink and white blossoms. Her kimono features a fantastic dragon pattern, and the white collar of her under robe is embossed. A lovely springtime scene with fine detail and delicate shading.
