The Lady of the Plum Blossom Courtyard, 1853

Comments - Charming scene of beauties in a palace interior. A young woman sits on a cushion in the room at right, looking down with a shy smile as she pulls up her blue floral outer kimono. The wall behind her features a lovely view of a blossoming cherry tree over a river with petals drifting down. At lower right, a matron leans forward with a scowl, while the beauty at left grins as she looks over her shoulder. Nice detail in the setting. Includes faint burnishing on the white kimono and trim.

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Slight toning, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
