Young Princess Viewing Cherry Blossoms, 1889 - Handsome scene of a young princess on the balcony of a daimyo's palace viewing the blossoming cherry trees in Ueno Park below. Two attendants hold her by the hand, one pointing out over Shinobazu Pond as she chats with the elegantly dressed girl. Other beauties admire the view, many with white cloths pinned protectively over their hairstyles. A lovely design, beautifully colored and detailed, including embossing on the white cloths and white kimono collars.

Artist - Kunisada III (1848 - 1920)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 28"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Slight separation at ends of folds between panels, repaired.
