Utsusemi, Chapter 3: Segawa Kikunojo III, 1852

Series; Fifty-four Chapters of Edo Purple, 1852

Utsusemi, Chapter 3: Segawa Kikunojo III, 1852 - Interesting half-length portrait of Segawa Kikunojo as a beauty looking over her shoulder with a somewhat disappointed expression, her mouth slightly open as she holds her sleeve to her chest. Blossoming irises fill the background beneath a scene from "Utsusemi," Chapter 3 of the famous novel "The Tale of Genji." An attractive format and a rarely seen Toyokuni III kabuki series.
