Inuzuka Shino Moritaka on the on the Horyukaku Roof - Great portrait of the Eight Dog Warrior Inuzuka Shino Moritaka during his famous fight with Kenpachi Nobumichi on the roof of Horyukaku, a tower of Koga Castle. Here, the samurai raises his sword above his head as two guards attempt to restrain him with a chain. One grabs hold of Inuzuka's elbow as he grips his iron truncheon, while his fellow guard had been knocked down on the tiles, his lantern beside him. Another lantern flies past Inuzuka's head. A terrific action scene with a great composition. The first time we've offered this Kuniyoshi design.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 13 1/4" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases and marks, paper slightly curled. Please see photos for details.
