Prince Genji and Beauties Catching Fireflies

Comments - Attractive night scene of Prince Genji and several beauties catching fireflies in a lovely garden surrounding a lake. The insects glow softly in the evening sky under a full moon as the women swat at them with fans. The kneeling beauty at right carefully holds a firefly in her hand, ready to place it into a small cage filled with glowing insects. A great scene of a traditional summer activity, with beautiful shading in the water.
