Comments - Fantastic 18th century design by Shunzan of two beauties and a young man strolling along the banks of the Sumida River at Ryogoku in the summertime. The festive fireworks display on the river in the summer coincided with the evening pleasure boat excursions, allowing the Edo elites to escape the heat of the city and enjoy the cool waterfront. A lovely design with wonderful detail and soft shading in the evening sky.
