Tomimoto Toyohina

Comments - Classic Utamaro portrait of the young beauty Tomimoto Toyohina examining a print or painting of white chrysanthemums, lost in thought. She holds the image carefully with both hands, admiring the blossoms, which are delicately embossed. She wears a black outer kimono tied with an intricately patterned green obi, and her hair is pulled back into a large smooth bun. Beautifully detailed with a shimmering mica background.

Artist - Utamaro (1750 - 1806)

Image Size - 15" x 10" + margins as shown
