Comments - Charming Utamaro print of a young beauty smiling as she reaches into an insect cage used to hold fireflies in the summertime, her paulownia patterned summer kimono slipping off her shoulder Her hair is pulled back into a smooth bun adorned with a mica comb, hairpins, and ribbons. The background features an allover check in green and brown, adding graphic impact. A lovely portrait, detailed with silver mica on the comb and one hairpin. Published by Takamizawa with publisher's seal on reverse.
