Cherry Trees in Rain on the Sumida River Embankment, 1850s - Charming spring scene of falling rain at the Sumida River embankment. Pedestrians hurry along under umbrellas, while one man wears a straw raincoat. Teahouses line the shore beneath blossoming cherry trees, and the path leads past a stone torii gate. An interesting composition.
