Hawk and Pine: Yoshite, 1896 - Beautiful view of Mt. Fuji framed by a hawk perched on a pine tree. The snow-covered peak rises above the edge of the margin, adding to its majestic size. The pine tree is drawn with wonderful calligraphic line work, a lovely contrast to the soft shading of the background. A terrific design from Gekko's rarely seen Fuji series.
