The Eruption of Mt. Bandai

Comments - Fantastic illustration of the volcanic eruption of Mt. Bandai in 1888, with smoke and flames bursting from the peak and gusts of wind swirling around the mountain. Chunks of rock and debris fly through the night sky while below, people are tossed about like rag dolls. The explosion triggers flooding, with water raging through a small village at lower left. A spectacular, dramatic depiction of this historic natural disaster, rare to find in reprint.
