Comments - royal court enjoying a springtime view of the gardens from an open pavilion at the temporary Imperial Palace. Elegantly dressed beauties kneel before the Emperor and Empress, who are seated on a platform at right. Other women enjoy the gorgeous blooms in the garden, strolling among flowering trees and purple iris bordering a pond. A charming spring image with rich jewel-tone color and embossing on the white kimono trim. The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has this image in its collection.

Image Size - 14" x 28 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. Slight soiling, a few creases and small marks. Please see photos for details.
