A Fuji Arts Winter Exhibition Item - We are excited to have purchased a couple Japanese collections with a range of rare and sought after designs. We’ve put them together in a winter exhibition and will post them over one week. The items range from Edo through Meiji and up to contemporary. So, there’s something for everyone. The unifying theme is that each print is a great example or very rare item to find in the market. Enjoy shopping the Winter Exhibition.
Comments - Beautiful view inside Kannon Temple at Asakusa, with large paper lanterns hanging from the carved beams overhead and many visitors below. At lower right, a woman leads her daughter by the hand while two women at left bow their heads in prayer. Pigeons flutter through the open space and a few shafts of sunlight fall across the shadowy space at right. A lovely design. Works by Narazaki Eisho are rarely seen on the market, and this is his best known work.
