Brine Maiden Kakemono

Comments - Lovely kakemono or vertical diptych of a brine maiden collecting sea water for processing into salt. She smiles as she looks over her shoulder, using on hand to steady a pail hanging from a yoke over her shoulder. Waves lap at the shore behind her, and a pine tree frames the sky. The first time we've seen this attractive Kuniyoshi design.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. Slight paper remnants at edges from previous mounting. Small loss at edge, a couple thinning spots at edges, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few spots and creases. Please see photos for details.
