Original Yoshikazu (active circa 1850 - 1870) Japanese Woodblock Print
Courtesan under a Cherry Tree

Comments - Attractive Edo era portrait of a courtesan standing beneath a flowering cherry tree. She smiles happily as she looks ahead, holding her the edge of her robe up with one hand. Her outer kimono features circular motifs of pine, plum, and bamboo, the "Three Friends of Winter," so-named because they do not wither during cold weather. A charming traditional beauty design.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Horizontal folds. A few wormholes, repaired. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, a few small marks. Please see photos for details.
