No. 12, Eight Provinces of the San'indo Circuit: Tanba, Tango, Tajima, and Inaba, 1852 - Interesting harimaze or cutout picture print by Hiroshige featuring four separate designs illustrating provinces through which the Tokaido Road passed. Harimaze are woodblock prints featuring small scenes designed to be cut apart and pasted into albums or applied to screens. This print includes Tanba, Tango, Tajima, and Inaba, with a central title cartouche. We rarely see this Hiroshige series.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)

Image Size - 13 1/2" x 9 1/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. A few holes, slight thinning at edges, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
