Series; Genji in the Twelve Months

The Second Month (Kisaragi), 1855 - Charming scene of the young Prince Genji hiding behind the open door of a garden pavilion atop a hill, watching as two women and three young girls approach. The nobleman holds his sleeve to his mouth as he laughs in amusement, an elegantly dressed woman kneeling behind him. Across the water, guests enjoy the view from a teahouse while other visitors stroll about the lovely grounds dotted with stone lanterns. A plum tree blossoms overhead, heralding the arrival of warmer weather soon. A lovely scene with an attractive setting.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight thinning at corners, repaired. A few creases. Please see photos for details.
