The Plover Jewel River in Mutsu Province, 1843 - 1847 - Charming scene of two beauties strolling along the shore of the Plover Jewel River in Mutsu Province, one of Japan's famous Six Jewel Rivers. The breeze whips their kimono around them, and the young woman at left uses both hands to hold down her robe. Her companion looks up with a smile as a flock of plovers takes flight. An attractive design from a rarely seen Edo era beauty series.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Small loss, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling, crease. Please see photos for details.
