Onoe Kikugoro IV and Ichikawa Kodanji IV, 1855 - Interesting kabuki double portrait featuring characters from the "Kanadehon Chushingura," the popular drama about the 47 ronin. Onoe Kikugoro IV appears as a chamber maid, looking over her shoulder with an alarmed expression. Ichikawa Kodanji IV appears as a man seated before her, looking up from a letter he is writing, a brush caught between his teeth. Nicely detailed with embossing on the beauty's white kimono collar.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A couple small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few light creases. Please see photos for details.
