Each image presents one of six famous rivers with figures along the shore, accompanied by a poem. The series continues Hiroshige's interest in vertical format landscapes. Nicely detailed with fine bokashi shading, this seldom seen Hiroshige series is a nice complement to his more well-known landscape works.
