A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Six Jewel Rivers in Various Provinces - Handsome design from Hiroshige's 1857 series "Six Jewel Rivers in Various Provinces," a popular subject for Edo era printmakers. Each image presents one of six famous rivers with figures along the shore, accompanied by a poem. The series continues Hiroshige's interest in vertical format landscapes. Nicely detailed with fine bokashi shading, this seldom seen Hiroshige series is a nice complement to his more well-known landscape works.

Image Size - 12 7/8" x 8 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Loss at edge, repaired. Toning, soiling, staining, curling. Please see photos for details.
