Tokaido Set with 38 Prints - This is an unusual set of 38 Tokaido prints in the small yatsugiri format, about 3" x 5" overall. The images are based on Hiroshige's "Great Tokaido," but we have been unable to locate any information about a Tokaido series in this size. Some of the prints have a number in the margin, but it doesn't always correlate to the same number image in the "Great Tokaido." The prints may be Meiji era reprints, but we are not sure. An interesting and unusual group with a nice sense of age.

Image Size - Each print approximately 2 3/4" x 4 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - Prints with good detail as shown. 6 loose prints and 32 prints mounted at top edge to backing sheet. Holes, losses, thinning. Toning, soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
