Encampment under Attack, 1847 - 1852

Comments - Interesting scene of the encampment of Abe no Sadato under attack. At lower left, a warrior emerges from beneath a cloth privacy panel, grimacing angrily with his spear in hand. Just in front of him, a samurai tumbles to the ground still gripping his sword as lightning flashes across the sky. At upper left, a general wearing a horned helmet gallops ahead on a dappled horse, waving his tasseled command baton. A lively image with wonderful detail.

Artist - Sadahide (1807 - 1873)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. A few creases. Please see photos for details.
