Comments - Charming scene of two beauties and a young boy paying a visit to Kinryuzan Temple at Asakusa in Edo. The beauty at right carries the boy's sword, smiling at his as she looks back over her shoulder. The child's mother leads him by the hand, gesturing with her other hand. He wears a black kimono patterned with puppies and toys over a kimono tucked into pant, and carries a tiny folding fan with a red sun on it. The pagoda and rooftops of the shrine rise above the treetops in the distance, separated from the figures by a line of clouds. An attractive design, nicely detailed.
