Sawamura Tossho as a Man in a Serpent Kimono

Comments - Great kabuki portrait of Sawamura Tossho as a man wearing a striking kimono with an enormous serpent on it. The snake's form curls over the shoulders and down the side of the robe amidst falling leaves, its tongue flickering out of its mouth. The background features the image of bamboo in black calligraphic lines against the dark night sky. A handsome design.
