Comments - Handsome kabuki double portrait from the classic drama about the 47 ronin, "Kanadehon Chushingura." In Act 4, Lord Hangan's loyal retainer Oboshi Yuranosuke has just learned of his master's, and he vows to avenge his death. Grimacing angrily, he grips the dirk with which Lord Hangan has just committed suicide, while his son, Rikiya, looks up with a strange smile. Lord Hangan's mansion can be seen in gray silhouette along the horizon against the evening sky.
