Minamoto no Yoshitsune's Eight Boat Leap, 1855

Comments - Handsome scene of a warrior watching angrily as his enemy, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, escapes by leaping through the air at upper right during his face "Eight Boat Leap" at the Battle of Yashima. The warriors wears a fine suit of armor over a red and yellow geometric print kimono and pants, his loose hair blowing in the wind as he throws his hands out in surprise. Nice detail in the armor and weapons. An interesting subject.
