Series; Biographies of the Faithful Samurai

Biographies of the Faithful Samurai - Handsome portrait of one of the faithful samurai from the famous tale of the 47 ronin, the "Chushingura." Each attractive design presents a full-length figure accompanied by text above, with the title cartouche framed by the ronin's classic black and white dogtooth border. The samurai are shown engaged in battle during the night attack on Moronao's mansion, or in quieter poses in the days prior to or just after the attack. A nice series for a samurai enthusiast interested in this timeless story of honor and revenge.
